The Glens Falls Civic
Center is the home of sports and
entertainment for residents of the Southern
Adirondack, Saratoga, and Capital District Regions
of New York State, as well as Eastern
Vermont. This highly versatile multi-purpose
complex includes an arena for sporting events,
concerts, family activities, dance, theater, and
trade shows. Banquet facilities are also
available. The facility is located in the City
of Glens Falls,
just four hours from New York City and Boston and
three hours from Montreal. Proudly managed by the
City of Glens Falls, it has 4,806 permanent arena
seats and can accommodate an audience of up to
7,800 people.
As home of the Adirondack
Frostbite, UHL, the Civic Center provides sports
fans with the excitement of professional hockey from October to April. The
sport of basketball is king at the Civic Center every March, when the
New
York State Boys Public High School Basketball Tournament and the
Federation Tournament bring the state's best high school hoop players to
Glens Falls. The Adirondack
Stampede brings high-energy rodeo excitement to the Civic Center every October.
Special events such as Sesame Street Live, Harlem Globetrotters, the
Original Toughman Competition, CMA's Vocalist of the year Lee Ann
Womack, The Black Crowes, Sawyer Brown, and the St. Petersburg State
Ballet on Ice are a few of the wide range of shows from the 2001-2002
